AHA: solution to ineligibility in athletics pulls athletes together

This semester, a new organization called Athletes Helping Athletes began working to help all athletes maintain eligibility. One of the organization’s founders, junior Eric Brighton, said he came up with the idea for AHA and started working to secure sponsors and approval for it last school year.
“In my experience in athletics, it was always disheartening and frustrating to see talented athletes lose eligibility when I knew that I and other athletes could help them pass with a little bit of additional instruction,” Brighton said. Full Story
McDougle Elementary Christmas party spreads holiday cheer

On Dec. 5 Tigers Making A Difference, with the help of students from many other organizations including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Air Force JROTC, and National Honor Society, organized a Christmas party at McDougle Elementary School.
The party was an evening of Christmas celebration for families at the school who may not be able to afford a lot this holiday season. Full Story
