The cosmetology classes ran an animal food and toy drive from April 6 to April 16.

On the corner of FM 2920 and Kuykendahl sits Alicia’s Mexican Grille. Alicia’s caught my eye with its grand, Spanish-style architecture, so after passing it many times I decided to try it out.

During the week of April 25, seniors will have at least 14 more hours of free time than in a regular school week. Since they took exit-level TAKS last year, they will have late arrival Tuesday through Friday.

On Wednesday, April 7, senior Jeremy Singletary lay on a blanket in soft grass, near beds of aromatic plants. Normally, he is confined to a wheelchair.

 “I just rested,” Singletary said. “It felt great to be outside.”

Students crowd around a tiny black-and-white television to view the unfolding of a pivotal moment in the history of modern technology. In schools and homes throughout the nation, eyes are fixed on images of astronauts setting foot on the moon. The year is 1969.
