Student artists competed in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event at Aldine Senior High School on Feb. 27.

Junior Catherine Reid had an exotic spring break. She spent the week visiting ancient ruins, the beach and the rainforest in Belize.

Hallways and lunches are a buzz with students talking about the upcoming, second annual faculty basketball game sponsored by the National Honor Society. The game will be held on March 24 at 6 p.m. in the big gym.

This school year, two students were selected to honorary volleyball teams. Sophomore Mallory McCage was selected for the Youth National Volleyball Team and senior Rachel Foard for the TGCA Academic All-State Volleyball Team.

Every sports team’s dream is to make it to the playoffs, and this year the softball varsity team is practicing harder and becoming a closer team in hopes of achieving this dream.

Sophomore Jessica Borrego said that she is practicing her hitting to help the team make it to the playoffs.
