“[Being a foreign exchange student was] a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” junior Victor Gomes said. “It was just awesome. If I could do it all over again, I would. It was a new experience to learn [about] the different school system.”

For this year’s spring training, coach Drew Svoboda has only one goal in mind, to have the team both physically and mentally prepared for the new season.

“I expect that we are going to prepare to win every game, we practice extremely hard and we give great effort every day,” Svoboda said. “We need to know our assignment, and execute the play that’s called on both sides of the ball. These are my expectations.”

As the season transitions from spring to summer, sleeves are getting shorter and jeans are becoming capris. To figure out what is “hot” or “in the moment,” one can look at fashion magazines and celebrities for inspiration. But to see what the average person is wearing, all one has to do is take a look around, at their peers.

 

qual_labStudents centrifuge, mix chemicals and separate substances. The teacher walks around the classroom making sure students are doing all of these things correctly. It is the end-of-the-year qualitative lab in chemistry.

 

Like any other class that prepares for its final, digital graphics uses its whole first semester to prepare its students for its second semester assignment. The digital graphics class is an art class offered for senior art students, and the second semester assignment is called “the sports team” assignment.
