| Gary Hargreaves recently moved from London, England to Austin, Texas to be with his wife in her home town. He received his green card three months ago and wants to learn as much as possible about American culture before applying for citizenship in three years.
Hargreaves’s wife, Cary Bell, is producing a television show about how to become a typical American. It is going to be based on Hargreaves’s experiences traveling from Texas to Alaska and Hawaii to New York to learn about different regions and traditions.
For the episode based on Texas, Hargreaves and his wife decided to have him accomplish barbecuing and learning to play high school football.
